Features of the Compensation Scheme

The compensation benefits provided for eligible officers under this Scheme include
(a)

a lump sum calculated by multiplying the officer's annual pensionable emoluments by a factor actuarially appropriate to his age and length of service, subject to a maximum amount equivalent to the value of annual salary at Master Pay Scale point 48 multiplied by the maximum com - pensation factor of 4.76 (but paragraph 14 below); and

Promotion exercises will continue to be conducted in accordance with the arrangements set out in Annex 1.1 to Civil Service Regulations.
