course of his duties shall be deemed for the purposes of
subsection (1) to have been injured in the circumstances
described in that subsection.
Grant of additional pension on account of injuries.
15. (1) Subject to subsection (2), if an officer is
permanently injured in the circumstances described in
section 14, he shall be granted an additional pension at
the prescribed rate where his capacity to contribute to his
own support becomes impaired at or after his retirement
because of the injury and it shall be payable in accordance
with the regulations.
(2) Where an additional pension is granted under
subsection (1) in respect of an injury which was caused in
circumstances creating a legal liability in some person
other than the Government, the Government may take
proceedings against such person to recover an amount not
exceeding the amount of the additional pension multiplied
by 14.

(3) Subsection (1) shall not apply in the case of an
officer who, in consequence of his injury, is entitled to
and has received compensation under the Employees'
Compensation Ordinance or the Pneumoconiosis
(Compensation) Ordinance.
