(c) every officer who, under section 9, is deemed to

have opted under section 8(1).

(2) No officer shall derive any pension, gratuity or

other allowance under the Pensions Ordinance and pension

benefits under this Ordinance in respect of the same period

of service.

(3) This Ordinance shall not apply to judicial

officers.

Except as otherwise provided in this Ordinance,

the entitlement to pension benefits shall be a right.

Pension benefits

6. There shall be charged on and paid out of the

general revenue all sums of money as may from time to time

be granted by way of pension benefits.

officer shall be payable to hin

(a)

in the case of a deferred pension

(i) where he is a serving officer, when he

attains the age of 55 years; and

(ii) where he is a Scheduled officer who is
