(d) For the purpose of this subsection, in determining pe
sionable emoluments of a deceased-
(i) where the Pensions Ordinance applied to him, the definition of "pensionable emoluments" in section 2(1) of that Ordinance and regulation 18 of the Pensions Regu- lations shall apply mutatis mutandis as those provisions apply for the purpose of computing pension under that Ordinance; and
(ii) where the Pension Benefits Ordinance 1987 applied to him, section 22 of that Ordinance and regula- tion 16 of the Pension Benefits Regulations 1987 shall apply mutatis mutandis as those provisions apply for the purpose of computing pension under that Ordinance.";
(d) as regards subsection (1) of section 3—
(i) in paragraph (b), by deleting "every person appointed" and substituting the following-
"every person appointed or re-appointed";
(ii) in paragraph (c), by deleting "on non-pensionable terms" and substituting the following-
"who is appointed or re-appointed to a non-established office"; and
(iii) in paragraph (c), by deleting "on such non-pensionable terms" and substituting the following-
"in the non-established office";
(e) in subsection (2) of section 3—
(i) in paragraph (b)(ii)(A), by inserting after "pensionable service" the following-
"in an established office"; and
(ii) in paragraph (b)(ii)(B), by deleting "in such service on non-pensionable terms" and substituting the following--
"appointed or re-appointed in a non-established office”;
(f) by inserting the following section after section 4
"Review of decisions by Directors.
4A. The Directors may review any decision made by them under this Ordinance and any such review may be carried out on the initiative of the Directors or pursuant to an application to them by a person who, in their opinion, has an interest in the matters to which the decision sought to be reviewed relates; and any decision made by them on a review may be irrespective of whether or not the decision is to the detriment of the widow or any child.";
(g) by substituting the following for section 6—
"Pension under this Ordinance to depend on deceased's
pension. (Cap. 89.) (Cap. 89, sub. leg.)
6. (1) A pension shall not be granted under this Ordinance unless the deceased-
(a) had become eligible for the grant-
(i) of a pension or an annual allowance under the Pensions Ordinance (other than an additional pen- sion under regulation 31(1)(ii) or (iii) of the Pensions Regulations); or
