(i) in respect of each complete 3-year period

of service prior to the effective date, 1/80 of

his highest pensionable emoluments; and

(ii) in respect of an incomplete 3-year period

of service prior to the effective date which is

followed by service after the effective date, pro

rata of 1/80 of his highest pensionable emoluments.

(2) Subject to paragraph (3), an additional pension

granted in accordance with paragraph (1), shall not exceed

100/675 of an officer's highest pensionable emoluments.

(3) An additional pension granted in accordance with

paragraph (1) together with any pension granted to him at

the factor prescribed in regulation 4 shall not exceed the

amount of pension which an officer would have been granted

if he had continued to serve until his retirement age.

Rates of additional pension on account of injuries. DI. 25 (part)

24. (1) Subject to paragraphs (2) and (5), the

annual rate of additional pension granted to an injured

officer under section 14(1) of the Ordinance shall be the

proportion of his actual pensionable emoluments at the date

of his injury appropriate to his case as shown in the table

in this paragraph, whether his capacity to contribute to

his own support because of the injury is impaired before or

after his retirement
