Legal aid has been granted to the Filiping
maids to
seek judicial review of the Director of
Immigration's policy on the extension of stay of overseas
domestic helpers. The application for leave to apply for
judicial review was granted by the High Court on Friday,
10 July 1987 and it is expected that the hearing will
begin on 30 July.
