ROUTINE
ALLOTMENT PLAN FOR THE FIXED SATELLITE SERVICE: REQUIREMENTS FOR DEPENDENT TERRITORIES

Corbett ESSD in his letter of 3 April to addressees drew attention to the planning exercise being undertaken by the International Frequency Registration Board (IFRB) for the allotment of those radio frequency bands which are to be subject to planning for the fixed satellite service. The Second Session of the World Administrative Radio Conference for the Geostationary Orbit (WARC-ORB(2)) will on the basis of the IFRB exercise consider allotments in the Geostationary Satellite Orbit, with associated radio frequency spectrum, which would be made available to individual territories or groups of territories which may wish to take up the allotment at some date in the future.
