I am of course aware of the proposal which has been presented to the Hong Kong Government, and I would greatly welcome an opportunity to discuss it with Mr Wu. I look forward to meeting him on 19 January. I hope you will forgive me, however, if I leave the presentation before lunch, since I have an engagement outside London on the afternoon of that day.
