An Ordinance to amend the Probation of Offenders Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
Short title.
1.
Amendment of section 2. (Cap. 298.)
Amendment of
section 12.
Addition
of new section 12A.
This Ordinance may be cited as the Probation of Offenders (Amendment) Ordinance 1987.
2. Section 2 of the principal Ordinance is amended by—
(a) being renumbered as subsection (1) thereof; and
(b) inserting after subsection (1) the following—
"(2) For the purposes of this Ordinance, except section 3(7), where a probation order or an order for conditional discharge has been made on appeal, the order shall be deemed to have been made by the court from which the appeal was brought.".
3. Section 12 of the principal Ordinance is amended by deleting paragraph (e).
4. The principal Ordinance is amended by adding after section 12 the following-
"Forms.
12A. The Director of Social Welfare may specify the form of records to be kept under this Ordinance.".
