BACKGROUND
The Daya Bay joint venture company, GNPJVC, has recently announced the establishment of a new advisory body to monitor
safety at Daya Bay. Media reports suggest that Hong Kong representation will not be included, but that there is already some Legco Pressure on Peking to redress this situation.
Hong Kong is a partner in the Daya Bay project, and in the light of the sensitivities in Hong Kong to safety at Daya Bay,
it is regrettable if a Hong Kong representative is not included in the Advisory body.
