Negotiation status of contracts other than three
main contracts
(a) Nuclear Island and Conventional Island Civil Works Contract
Through international competitive bidding and evaluation,
GNPJVC is holding the final round of negotiation with HCCM
(composed of French Campenon Bernard,
Campenon Bernard, Maeda Construction
Company Limited, Hua Xing Construction Corporation and the
Corporation).
2nd Bureau of China State Construction Engineering
The contract is expected to be signed in
May. In September 1986, GNPJVC signed a Pre-contract with
HCCM for the procurement of equipment and the local works,
which has laid the foundation for the main project to be
commenced in a very short time.
(b) Nuclear Island Erection Contract.
Following half year's preparations, bid specifications and
prequalification of potential tenderers have been
completed. The bid invitations were issued on 16th April,
1987 for world-wide competitive bidding. It is planned to
receive tenders in July and to award the contract in
November, 1987.

Conventional Island Erection Contract
The bid specifications are under preparation now. It is
planned to issue bid invitations in August 1987.
