Sunday, December 6- The deputy chairman of the JVC, William Stones, said yesterday after a public function that the JVC had made improvement to the Daya Bay plant's quantity and quality control system following the "missing bars" incident, some papers reported.
He said that the JVC would discuss with the contractors concerned
over the question of compensation resulted from the construction
incident ia the next few months.
Mr Stones said that delay in the construction of the plant as a result of the incident would be caught up in May next year.
Monday, December 7 - The Harwell report on nuclear accident contingency planning for HK, which had recently been completed by the UK Atomic Energy Authority, proposed no evacuation plans for the territory, the HK Economic Journal reported. The paper learnt that the Harwell report was being circulated among Government departments for comments and it would be translated into Chinese before
publishing.
Tuesday, December 8- The Harwell report compiled by the UK Atomic Energy Authority would be completed and submitted to the HK Government in a weeks' time, the Oriental Daily News reported, quoting PAS for Economic Services John Wilson.
