Fish Import Promotion Activities

There is no specific programme for fish import
promotion activities carried out in Hong Kong. However, the
Hong Kong Government favours a general policy of free trade
and one of the responsibilities of the Agriculture and
Fisheries Department is to maintain a reliable supply of
fresh fisheries products to the community. In this context,
the Department assists local as well as overseas traders
by providing information on the market situation in Hong
Kong such as supply, demand and price of fishery products
and addresses of local fish traders for business contacts.
In addition, the Department supplies price information and
trade statistics on fishery products to INFOFISH on a
regular basis.
