for policy development and administration and the
other three Divisions consist of the teams respon-
sible for the supervision of related groups of authorised institutions. The key grade below the
Assistant Commissioner is the ten Senior Bank
Examiners who are personally responsible for a group
of institutions and who control the examination

Much emphasis has been placed on training
at all levels. During 1986 one Assistant Commis-
sioner returned from a year's secondment
secondment to Price
Waterhouse in Australia where he was engaged at a
senior level in bank consultancy work. Another Assistant Commissioner had the considerable benefit
of a training programme arranged by Chemical Bank.
