O.K. Could I ask you a question about

cause of delays. You said it turned out to be a very complicated project, complex, expensive and difficult to construct.

Is that

because of the super-structure is difficult to construct? What is

— —

5 the cause of the total delay? I mean there are some general statements

there. If you don't build that super-structure we saw for months then all the other delays comes with the roof you cannot have a roof. You can't get the electrical contractors the electrical things done on time. What is the cause for that delay? mentioning about the rainy season was not envisaged.

I think even a kid in Hong Kong knows when is the rainy season in Hong Kong.

are caused for the work to be extended to further rainy season not envisaged. At the commencement of the contract it again causes delay. Anyway, that rainy season is beside the point. What is really the cause of delay? Is it because of a late start or is it because

the super-structure that caused the delay?

D of Ar. S:

!

There is a combination of factors already

Change of scope which is outside our

indicated in paragraph 147. control is one factor. The construction difficulty which we hadn't envisaged before the start is one factor, so these are the causes of delay, and having extended the contract

agreed the extension of the contract period from our point of view this is the true construction period or true contract period which should have been
