So we are concentrating until we get these two extra D1 posts, that is Directorate posts, at the bottom of the Directorate scale, who can. then work closely with the Directorates in departments, until we get those we are not attempting to expand too fast. We don't want to take on more steering groups than we can properly service, and it is essential that the input to the steering group is provided very largely by Finance Branch. Now one division in Finance Branch is given over wholly to value for money work, G Division, and so that we have a D2 officer heading that division and he is supervised by one Principal Assistant Financial Secretary who is one of my deputies.
