investment in our future (33). The Medium Range Forecast takes
account of likely continued growth in this area and the financial impact of the Education Commission's proposals where
they have been accepted.

be $5.2 billion: this will be 9.6% of consolidated account
expenditure as compared with 7.4%

to the total estimated project cost of $1.2 billion for the new
Government hospital in Tuen Mun, $1 billion will be spent over the next few years on improvements and extensions to Queen Mary,
Queen Elizabeth and Tang Shiu Kin Hospitals. A further
$120 million will be spent on site formation works and
consultants fees for the new
