MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND
AREAS FOR FURTHER STUDY
1.
Planning for reduction of the Hong Kong military helicopter force requires an understanding of the garrison's minimum requirement for medium helicopter lift and light observation helicopter support. These are addressed at Appendix 1.
2.
In addition, there are a number of areas which require further study before the optimum Aircraft Establishment (AE) plus In Use Reserve (IUR) and Unit Establishment (UE) of the helicopter force can be defined for the various stages which may be expected during the rundown. These are addressed at
Appendix 2.
