TUNG TSING ROAD TO THE EAST, LUNG CHUNG ROAD TO THE SOUTH AND WEST CITY ROAD TO THE WEST. WE ESTIMATE THE POPULATION OF BE
SOMETHING OVER 40,000 AND THE NUMBER OF BUILDINGS TO BE ABOUT 500.
IN THE ABSENCE OF CURRENT SURVEY INFORMATION WE CANNOT AT THIS
STAGE BE MORE PRECISE.
14.Q. WILL SOME SPECIAL OFFICE BE SET UP TO ANSWER QUERIES BY
RESIDENTS?
A. RESIDENTS WILL BE ABLE TO ADDRESS THEIR QUESTIONS TO A
SPECIAL COMMITTEE AND, AS IN ANY OTHER CLEARANCE, WILL BE ABLE TO
DISCUSS PROBLEMS WITH GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS HANDLING THE CLEARANCE.
A CLEARANCE OFFICE WILL BE SITED AT BLOCK 17, LOK FU ESTATE,
KOWLOON.
15.Q. WHY THE SPECIAL COMMITTEE?
A. THIS CLEARANCE RAISES A NUMBER OF PARTICULAR DIFFICULTIES.
PHYSICALLY IT IS DIFFERENT FROM AREAS CLEARED IN THE PAST IN THAT
IT CONSISTS OF MANY MULTI-STOREY BUILDINGS. TITLES TO LANDS
AND PREMISES IN THE AREA HAVE NOT BEEN MAINTAINED AND REGISTERED
AS THEY ARE IN OTHER AREAS. THESE SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES RAISE
PROBLEMS THAT ARE BEST SOLVED BY A COMMITTEE OF SPECIALLY SELECTED
PERSONS.

A. A MEETING OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY WILL BE HELD SOON TO AGREE
MEMBERSHIP AND TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR THE COMMITTEE AND AN
ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE MADE AFTER THIS MEETING.

A. AS A COMMITTEE OF THE HOUSING AUTHORITY IT WILL BE RESPONSIBLE
TO THE HOUSING AUTHORITY.

A. THERE IS NO FORMAL REGISTER OF OWNERSHIP BUT A SURVEY WILL
