Sear Sirty,

I would like to thank you and your colleagues on the Executive and Legislative Councils for your very kind invitation to dinner during my visit to Hong Kong; and also for the kind words you used on that occasion.

I found my visit extremely valuable, and feel that I came away with a very good impression of the dynamism and complexity of Hong Kong. It was particularly helpful to be able to hear your views on a range of issues. I look forward to seeing you again before too long, either here or in Kong Kong.

Thank you again so
