Sir David Wilson KCMG

Born 1935. Educated Trinity College, Glenalmond, Perthshire and

Keble College, Oxford. Commissioned Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) 1953. Joined Foreign Service 1958. Assigned to full-time

Chinese language studies at Hong Kong University 1960.

Peking 1963.

Resigned and became Executive Editor of China Quarterly 1968. Rejoined Diplomatic Service in 1974. Political Adviser Hong Kong

1977. Head of Southern European Department, FCO 1981. Assistant

Under Secretary of State (Asia) FCO 1984. Governor of Hong Kong

since April 1987. Married to Natasha, two sons.

SIR DENYS TUDOR EMIL ROBERTS KBE

Chief Justice

Born in 1923. Educated in UK. Military Sevice 1942-46. Served as

Attorney-General in Gibraltar in 1960 and appointed as QC in the

same year. Joined the Hong Kong civil service in 1962 as Solicitor General and became Attorney General in 1966. Appointed Chief

Secretary in 1973, holding the post until 1978 when assumed present

office. Married, 3 children.

Born 1935. Joined Hong Kong Government 1972 as Deputy Director of

Information Services. Director of Information Services 1972-76 and

1978-80. Seconded to NIO 1976-78. Commissioner, HKG Office London

1980-82. Royal College of Defence Studies 1982-83. Director of Housing 1983-85. Appointed Secretary for Civil Service 1985. Appointed to present post 1987. Married to Gillian.
