Whilst in Beijing, the delegation visited two special units within the orbit of the Ministry of Public Security. This was the first occasion that the RHKP delegation had been invited to visit specialist formations. A note on these two
visits is attached at Annexure 'A'.

Between 10th - 12th May 1987, the delegation visited Shanghai. Meetings were held with officers of the Public Security Bureau in that city including the Deputy Director
(in the absence from the city of the Director) and the Director of CID Shanghai. Discussions embraced matters of mutual interest including an exchange of views and information on crimes of common concern to the two jurisdictions.
