Thus the usefulness and dependability of CTS-2 as a future tool to
assist Hong Kong in planning to meet its transport needs up to 2001 will
largely depend on the accuracy and reliability of the information we feed into
the Study. As such information cover areas in both China and Hong Kong, assistance from the Guangdong and Shenzher authorities is essential to ensure
the success of the Study.

This visit merks a useful start and Mr. He's tal yesterday has
helped to answer many of the questions I posed earlier. I hope regular meetings, at appropriate levels, will develop between Chinese and Hong Kong Officials to continue this useful exchange of views on planning information
and data. This will enable us to work together to resolve problems
encountered by both sides in our planning efforts. Such co-operation will certainly be of benefit to both Guangdong and Hong kong.
