Long Term
1. To ensure that a good working relationship is maintained with the Customs authorities, representatives of airlines including СААСЯ
anche Railway authorities to enable swift clearance and collection of items consigned to the Embassy; and with the Diplomatic Service Bureau, to ensure the best possible co-
operation over accommodation and locally engaged staff.
2. To review with Overseas Estate Department the longer term requirements for office space for the Post, taking into account staff changes arising from the 1987 Post Inspection and the British Council's needs.
3. To maintain a r lling programme of re-furnishing to ensure that staff accommodation and offices are kept at a high standard of appointment.
Short Term
4. To uplift staff flat furnishings from the present low standard to a higher level, with the placing of large orders during this and the next financial year.
5. To ensure that the Squash Court currently under construction is completed on time.
6.
To examine our office machinery requirements and replace older machines as necessary.
7. To obtain from the Diplomatic Service Bureau new units of residential housing to accommodate the extra staff recommended in the 1987 Post Inspection.
