14. Mr Zhang said that a lot of soundings would also be necessary on the Chinese side, but that it was a very interesting proposal which he thought would appeal to the Ambassador. However he said that he could give no definite time-scale as yet. Mr Cooper said that we would also mention this project to our Head of Chancery in Peking, who might be able to help out with preparations.
