Despite a slow-down in the inflow of foreign investment into China, Hong Kong investors' interest in China appears to have been maintained at high level. Also, there appears to be a recent tendency for more of these investments from Hong Kong to involve large infrastructural development projects (paragraph 36).

So

it is likely that the relative importance of Hong Kong in the overall total foreign investment in China will

further increase in 1987.
