Thank you for your kind letter of 15 June in which you
conveyed a message of congratulation from your Foreign
Minister, Mr Wu Xueqian, and offered your own
congratulations, on my reappointment as Foreign and
Commonwealth Secretary. I would be grateful if you would
pass on the enclosed letter to Mr Wu.
I, too, look forward to meeting you again at your
farewell party on Wednesday, 24 June and at my farewell
dinner party in honour of you and your wife on Thursday,
25 June.
