A majority of the Council ADVISED and the Acting
Governor ORDERED
(c) that a new policy towards
international
schools,
providing for the grant of
land at a nominal premium to
eligible operators, should
be adopted provided that a
non-discriminatory
entry
policy is adopted (paragraph
14 of the memorandum);
(d) that
the
Director
Education should continue
of
to
take an interest in the
running and composition of
any international schools
established under the new
policy, to ensure that the
conditions of grant are
fulfilled; and
The Council ADVISED and the Acting Governor ORDERED :
(e) that a press release or
Legislative
Council brief
should not be issued at
present but that any land
grants under the new policy
should be publicised.
