The Council also
emphasised
the importance of
improved infrastructure including port facilities, railway
links to the port and roads. as a means of handling China
trade and of taking up any possible slack in the labour
market in the future.
The Acting Governor said that a report should be
submitted to the Council within four months of the measures
now being taken to sustain Hong Kong's position vis à vis
China..

The Council ADVISED and the Acting Governor ORDERED :
under section 20(1)(a) of the
Immigration Ordinance, that Mr
GAN Tua-soon alias GAN Tau-soon
alias NGAN Tai-shun should be
deported for life.
