after an investigation carried out by a
registered lift contractor or registered
escalator contractor, as the case may be,
submit to the Director a report in writing
giving full details of the occurrence.
Log-book of works to be kept and produced for inspection.
27B. (1) The owner of a lift or
escalator shall keep and maintain or cause
to be kept and maintained a log-book
approved by the Director in which he shall
cause a registered lift engineer, registered
escalator engineer, registered lift contractor
or registered escalator contractor, as the
case may be, to enter the details of the works
carried out in accordance with sections 12,
13, 19, 21, 22, 23 and 24 and in accordance
with an order under section 25.
(2) The owner of a lift or escalator
shall produce, on demand by the Director,
the log-book kept and maintained under
subsection (1) for inspection by the
Director.".
