Introduction

On 10 March 1987, having considered XCR (87) 42 (annexed), the Council advised and the Governor ordered :
that the
the Air Pollution 1987 (Annex A to the Pollution
Control
Control (Amendment) Bill memorandum) and the Air (Specified Processes) D to the memorandum) the Council following
Regulations 1987 (Annex should be resubmitted to reconsideration of -
(a) Regulation 5(2) with a view to deciding how an application for renewal of a licence should be entertained after the expiry of the licence; and
(b) the need to limit the legal liability of the Authority in respect of advice given on cost effective means of controlling emissions in the circumstances set out in paragraph 34 of
the memorandum.

Members also advised that the Authority should give notice to the licence holder regarding the renewal of his licence.
