(1) Introduction

Plans and scheme for the upgrading and
dualling of Connaught Road and ancillary works -
Rumsey Street Flyover, giving details of the proposed
road works, land requirement and the creation of other
rights were prepared in accordance with Section 5 of
the Roads (Works, Use and Compensation) Ordinance
(Chapter 370) (hereinafter referred to as 'the
Ordinance') which plans and scheme were deposited with
the Land Office and publicised in accordance with
Section 8 of the Ordinance in GN 210 published on 17
January 1986 and 24 January 1986.
Following
and a
consideration of objections received pursuant to the
Gazette Notice GN 210, the Governor in Council
authorized the works and use without modification
notice GN 2322 calling public attention to the
authorization was gazetted under S 11(9) (c) of the
Ordinance on 11 July 1986 and 18 July 1986.
