Article 8:
Foreign consular and other official or semi-official missions may be established in the HKSAR with the approval of the CPG.
Consular
and
other
official
missions established in Hong Kong by states which have already established
formal diplomatic relations with the PRC may be maintained.
According to the circumstances of each case, consular and other official missions of states having no formal diplomatic relations with the PRC may either be maintained or changed to semi-official missions.
States not recognised by the PRC can only establish non-governmental institutions.
