We, Members of the Hong Kong Legislative Council, fully support the delegation visiting England to promote democracy in Hong Kong. In particular we agree that partial direct election should be introduced in the Hong Kong legislature in 1988 because this is in accordance with the wishes of the majority of the people of Hong Kong.
