Dear Lord Glenarthur,
It was a great pleasure to meet you during my brief visit to London and I am particularly appreciative of your finding the time to come and join us for lunch at Queens Street. In the brief time that we had I hope I was able to give you an impression of some of the issues which are currently pertinent to Hong Kong. There is much at stake as I am sure you are fully aware and, we will need the firm guidance and support from people like yourself over the coming years to ensure that the relationship between the UK, Hong Kong and China remains solid for the future, both in terms of politics and trade.
If there is anything I can do for you at any time in Hong Kong
I much look forward please do not hesitate to let me know.
to seeing you again during your forthcoming visit to Hong Kong later in the year and hope we will have the chance to take
some more.

I hope you enjoyed the festivities at Osterley Park it really was a great pleasure for us to be able to get involved in a cultural exchange between China and England of that sort and most people seemed to be having a very good time inspite of the weather.
Yours sincerely,
