Mrs Anson Chan, the present Director of
Social Welfare, will succeed Mr Yaxley
as Secretary for Economic Services;
Mrs Elizabeth WONG CHIEN Chi-lien, who is
now Deputy Secretary for Municipal Services,
will succeed Mrs Chan as Director of Social
Welfare;
Mr Eric Ho, who is currently Secretary for Trade
and Industry, will be retiring from the
civil service in May. He will succeed
Mr F.K. Li as the Chairman of the Public
Service Commission;
Mr Hamish Macleod, the present Director of
Trade, will succeed Mr Ho as Secretary for
Trade and Industry;
Mr Michael SZE Cho-cheung, Deputy Director
of Trade, will become Director of Trade in
place of Mr Macleod;
