Dear Christopher,

Politically Sensitive Issues

Met

Please refer to your letter of the 9th July. I fear that due to one of those occasional inexplicable filing oversights, we have not met the quarterly deadline. However, please find enclosed the up-dated paper as at 1st December.

We may be in danger of getting too many things on the list. I should be grateful for your views on that point.

We will make sure that the next up-date is done as at 1st March, 1987.

I am sending this letter to London, but will hand over a copy of it and of the paper to you while you are in Hong Kong in the week beginning 1st December.

be honest I never find this sort of thing useful enough to justify the time spent in compiling .F. 4/2

Grateful for views. On x, I don't think it'

to have a long-ish checklist, as buy as

a bad thing to have o the subject

are sensitive — but is shouldn't become

catalogue of everything needing attention.
