You have already, by arrangement between Mr Nicholls and Mr Wright received telefax copies of the full request comprising the documents listed (2) to (6) above, and a draft authority to proceed settled by Mr Nicholls.
As the Hong Kong Government is concerned to comply with the Chief Magistrate's order without application for any extension it is anxious that if any problems be met by the Secretary of State in complying with the request that immediate communication be made with me at this office by telephone (5-8622331), or telex (73380 GOVHX) with Mr Nicholls, presently in Hong Kong but who will be in London from 2 pm on 24 January, Friday through his clerk at 01-583-9744.
