Dear Sir,
I refer to conversations between Mr Peter Wright of the Home Office and Mr Clive Nicholls QC, senior counsel representing the Hong Kong Government pursuant to a request by the Hong Kong Government that appropriate steps be taken for the rendition to Hong Kong of Lorrain Esme Osman and Mohammed Hashim Shamsudin.
I enclose herewith the following:
(1) Request.
(2) Warrants in the First Instance (Osman and
Shamsudin).
(3) Particulars of the Persons Whose Return is
Requested.
(4) Particulars of Facts.
(5) Particulars of the Law.
(6) Evidence sufficient to justify the issue of
warrants for arrest.
(7) Draft Authority to Proceed.
The Chief Magistrate at Bow Street has at present ordered that the Secretary of State's authority to proceed should be received by the Court on or before 27 January next.
