1.5 kgs Heroin and 1 kgs Cannabis Resin seized by Customs Case Reference: CIB/1/320/85
On 9 November 1985, Customs officers scized 1.5 kgs of No. 3 heroin and 1 kg of cannabis when they raided a heroin packing centre in Shatin. The raid was the result of a 29 year old Chinese male being arrested outside King Tin Court, Sha Tin with 500 gms of No. 3 heroin in his possession. The Chinese males 30 year old wife, found at the flat was also arrested.
500 grams Cannabis Oil seized by NB

On 15 November 1985, NB officers arrested a Canadian male inside a Bar in Mindon Avenue, Tsim Sha Tsui and seized 500 gms of cannabis oil. The Canadian, aged 32, had attempted to sell the drug to a Narcotics Bureau undercover officer. According to Government Chemist statistics, this is the second scizure of cannabis oil to have been made in Hong Kong. The drug was contained in 35 prophylactics and had been imported from Katmandu using internal concealment. Result: He was sentenced to eight months imprisonment.
Cannabis trafficking syndicate neutralized by NB
On 16 November 1985, officers of Narcotics Bureau, in conjunction with officers of both Hong Kong and Kowloon Regions, conducted a total of 20 raids on residential premises in Hong Kong and Kowloon. These raids followed a two month investigation into a syndicate involved in the cultivation and local distribution of cannabis, as well as the local distribution of synthetic drugs.
The raids led to the arrest of a total of 18 persons, seizure of over 255 gms of herbal cannabis, a quantity of cannabis seeds, some MX tablets and some packing and weighing equipment. Two of the arrested persons are suspected to have been involved in the cultivation of cannabis recently discovered in Sai Kung.
This operation has considerably disrupted the operation of this syndicate and it's buyers.
