On 7 August 1985, as a result of an ongoing investigation into the activities of a known international cannabis resin trafficker, NB officers stopped a 37 year old Danish male at the airport on his arrival from Katmandu. Officers uncovered 2.74 kgs of cannabis resin concealed in the lining of a carrying case for a micro-computer which the arrested person was carrying. Enquiries revealed the cannabis was destined. for sale in Amsterdam. Result:
He absconded whilst on Court bail.
