240 gms Heroin seized by UB/SKM
Case Reference: SKM/CCR/2385/85
On 14 August 1985, officers of UB/SKM seized 240 grams of No. 3 heroin when they raided a flat at 2nd Floor, Ample Building, 1-13 Wor Chai Street. A 24 year old Chinese male and a 23 year old Chinese female were arrested.
Result:
One defendant was convicted and sentenced to five years imprisonment while the other was acquitted.
810 gms Heroin seized by Customs

On 15 August 1985, officers of the Customs Investigation Bureau neutralized a heroin packing and distribution centre with the seizure of 810 grams of No. 3 heroin. Officers first intercepted a Chinese male in Nam King Street, Yau Ma Tei and found in his possession 800 grams of No. 3 heroin. A subsequent search of his flat in Temple Street located a further 10 grams of heroin plus some packing paraphernalia.

On 17 August 1985, officers of SDS/W seized 200 grams of No. 3 heroin when they arrested one Chinese male at 17-35 Belcher Street.
Result: The defendant, a 21 year old Chinese male, was sentenced to three and a half years
imprisonment.

On 20 August 1985, officers of the Customs Investigation Bureau seized 1 kg of No. 3 heroin when they arrested one Chinese male in Aberdeen.
Result: The defendant was sentenced to seven and a half years imprisonment.
601 gams No. 4 Heroin seized by Customs
Case Reference: CIB 1/238/85
On 21 August 1985, officers of the Customs Investigation Bureau scized 600 grams of No. 4 heroin destined for re-export to Canada when they arrested two Chinese males at the airport. The courier was about to board a flight to Toronto when he was arrested with his accomplice. During subsequent raids a further 1 gram of No. 4 heroin was found in a flat in Kai Tak Road. Result: Pending.
284 gams Heroin seized by UB/SKM

On 21 August 1985, a PC of UB/SKM intercepted a 24 year old Chinese male outside Block 7, Pak Tin Estate and found in his possession a large polythene bag containing 284 grams of No. 3 heroin. Result: The defendant was sentenced to four years imprisonment.
340 gms Heroin seized by RSDS/NT
Case Reference: SS/CCR/1347/85
On 23 August 1985, officers of RSDS/NT seized 340 grams of No. 3 heroin and arrested two people when they raided a hut in Shek Wu Sun Tsuen, Sheung Shui.
Result:
One defendant was sentenced to three and a half years imprisonment while the other was acquitted.

On 24 August 1985, officers of DATS/SMP_seized 228 grams of No. 3 heroin when they arrested a Chinese male, aged 20 at Wan Han Street near Hip Wo Street.
Result: The defendant was sentenced to five and a half years imprisonment.
