heroin was seized. A subsequent search of 538 Shanghai Street, 5th Floor, a suspected store, revealed 1.5 kgs of No. 3 heroin. Two packing centres at Flat A, 3th Floor, 648 Nathan Road, and 6th Floor, 242 Nathan Road, were raided where 5 kgs and 1 kg of No. 3 heroin respectively were seized with packing equipment. Result:
The two male defendants were sentenced to six and ten years imprisonment respectively while the female defendant was acquitted.
250 gms of Heroin seized by SDS/MK

On 13 April 1985 SDS/MK officers seized 250 grams of No. 3 heroin when they arrested a Chinese male in Ferry Street, Yau Ma Tei.
Result:
Defendant was sentenced to three and a half years imprisonment.

On 20 April 1985 Customs officers seized 450 grams of No. 3 heroin when they intercepted a Chinese male in Kan Shing Road, Kowloon.
Result: Defendant was sentenced to six years imprisonment after trial.
1 kg Heroin seized by SDS/Wch
On 23 April 1985, as a result of information, SDS/WCH seized 1 kg of No. 3 heroin when they arrested two Chinese males at the junction of Yim Po Fong and Argyle Strects.
Result:
One defendant was sentenced to eight years imprisonment whilst his accomplice was sentenced to seven years after a guilty plea.
100 gms of Heroin seized by SDS

On 24 April 1985, SDS/KR officers seized 100 grams of No. 3 heroin when they arrested a Chinese male in Nam Cheong Street Shek Kip Mei.
Result: The Defendant was sentenced to three and a half years imprisonment.
1.3 kgs Heroin seized by Customs
Case Reference: CIB/1/117/85
On 24 April 1985 Customs officers seized 1.3 kgs of No. 3 heroin when they arrested two Chinese males and a Chinese female. The arrested persons were involved in a drugs transaction in a fast food restaurant in Woo Sung Street, Yau Ma Tei.
Result:
One defendant pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment while the other two were found guilty after trail and sentenced to six and seven years imprisonment respectively.
1.2 kgs of Heroin seized by SDS
Case Reference: KC/CCR/1192-3/85
On 26 April 1985 SDS/KC officers seized 1.2 kgs of No. 3 heroin when they searched 1st Floor, rear portion, 72 South Wall Road; a Chinese male was subsequently arrested.
Result: Defendant was sentenced to ten years imprisonment.
225 gms Heroin seized by EU
Case Reference: TWS/CCR/559/85
On 30 April 1985 as a result of a spot check, an EU Sgt seized 225 grams of No. 3 heron and arrested a Chinese male at Wong Tai Sin and Shatin Pass Roads.
Result: The defendant was sentenced to two and a half years imprisonment.
3 kgs Heroin for re-export seized by Customs
Case Reference: CIB/1/119/85
On 30 April 1985 Customs officers seized 3 kgs of No. 3 heroin from a passenger about to depart for Toronto, from Kai Tak Airport. The Chinese male was searched in the departure lounge and the heroin was found in a specially made vest he was wearing. Two other Chinese males, one supplier and one escort, were also arrested at the airport.
Result:
Two defendants were each sentenced to 11 years imprisonment while the third was sentenced to seven and a half years, seven and a half years.
