THE PRISONS (AMENDMENT) ORDINANCE 1986
(No. 42 of 1986)
The object of this Ordinance is to establish a statutory "Frisoners' Welfare Fund" in place of the existing non-statutory fund.
2. The fund will be administered in accordance with rules made by the Governor in Council which will be in line with rules governing the Correctional Services Department Welfare Fund.
3. Before the Acting Governor assented to the Bill in the name and on behalf of Her Majesty, the Attorney General advised that he could properly do so.
