To implement this
proposed
borrow
area, it is necessary to resume two private lots comprising 2,144.8 square metres (23,087 square feet) of agricultural land. The general location of the land to be resumed is shown coloured orange on the Identification Plan, No. TWIM93, annexed. The Director of Lands is satisfied that the private land involved is the minimum necessary to implement this project.
Compensation and clearance

As this resumption involves private land within the Tsing Yi Outline Zoning Plan area,

ex-gratia allowance for resumption and clearance is estimated at $1.9 million and made up as follows -

Compensation for resumption of private land is estimated at $1.11 million. Funds are available from the Capital Works Reserve Fund and are included in the 1986-87 allocation for Head 701 Land Acquisition;
and
compensation for clearance is estimated at $0.79 million. Funds are available under Head 91 clearance and maintenance of Crown Land.
