recent visit to Hong Kong he had come under attack for the
Government's policy on immigration. He had also heard
complaints that countries like Australia and Canada were
much more liberal than the UK in granting settlement and
nationality to people with money to invest. I agreed with
him that Mr Eggar might write to him explaining HMG's
policy on this as well as on the nationality provisions
which have been made for Hong Kong BDTCs.
