BUSINESS STATEMENT
Hong Kong (Nationality) Order; Chernobyl disaster; Foreign Affairs Debate; Terrorism; Fountainebleau Agreement; EC Budget; South Korea; Dr Kurt Waldheim.
1. Mr Biffen announced a debate on 12 May on the Hong Kong (Nationality) Order. The Home Office will take the lead.

Following the statement Members raised the following
points:-
(a) Mr Kinnock requested a debate on the Chernobyl
nuclear disaster and repeated again a request for a Foreign Affairs debate. Mr Biffen agreed to keep the House informed of any consequences following the disaster and agreed to consider a Foreign Affairs debate through the usual channels.
(b)
Sir Fergus Montgomery drew attention to alleged State Department advice not to travel to Britain. He also commented on the Home Secretary's statement on the Hong Kong (Nationality) Order. Mr Biffen pointed out that the matter can be raised during FCO questions on 7 May. SCD/NAD should ensure these points are
