Will the Minister of External Affairs
be pleased to state:
(a) whether it is a fact that gripped by a fear of becoming stateless after 1997, the Indian community in Hong Kong has threatened to leave the territory unless they are granted the right of abode
in Fritain;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the number of Todians
1kely to be affected and what steps are being taken by Government
of India in the matter;
(c) whether it is also a fact that Government of India have
taken up their case with the Government of the United Kingdom;
(d) if so, the details thereof; and
