MEMORANDUM FOR EXECUTIVE COUNCIL
RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE BROADCASTING REVIEW BOARD
THE FUTURE OF RADIO TELEVISION HONG KONG ·
INTRODUCTION
On 4 February 1986, having considered memorandum XCX (86) 19 which sought Council's advice
advice on the major proposals arising from the Broadcasting Review Board (BRB) Report,
Report, the Governor in Council indicated that Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK) should remain part of the public service and that RTHK should not be given a monopoly of TV air-time at fixed hours.
