A BILL
To
Provide for the appointment of a Film Censorship Authority
and censors, and for regulating and imposing
restrictions on the exhibition of films and the
publication and display of advertising material
relating to films; for the examination, approval and
classification of films; for the establishment of a
Board of Review; for the creation of offences; and for
matters connected therewith.
Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice
and consent of the Legislative Council thereof.
Short title
and
commencement.
PART I
PRELIMINARY
1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Film
Censorship Ordinance 1986 and shall come into operation
on a day to be appointed by the Governor by notice in
the Gazette.
Inter- pretation.
